Washington, D.C.
What happened: Science Delivers came to the nation's capital in April for Agriculture Night at Nationals Park, where fans stopped by an immersive grocery box display and postcard-writing station to explore the connection between science and the food on their tables. Throughout the evening, conversations with farmers, industry partners, and community members reinforced a simple idea: many of the innovations people rely on every day often go unseen.
What science delivered here: Washington D.C. sits at the intersection of research, policy, and public engagement. From advances developed in laboratories to decisions that shape how innovations reach communities, the region plays an important role in helping scientific discovery move from idea to everyday impact.
St. Louis, Missouri
What happened: At the Festival of Nations, visitors from across the region stopped by the Science Delivers tent to share why science matters to them. Each new postcard became part of a growing community installation, transforming individual reflections into a collective story about the role science plays in everyday life.
What science delivered here: St. Louis has long been a place where scientific discovery and community impact intersect. Research rooted in Missouri helped advance medical breakthroughs, including work that contributed to broader-spectrum antibiotics, demonstrating how discoveries made locally can improve lives far beyond state lines.

Huxley, Iowa
What happened: The interactive Science Delivers trailer made its debut in Huxley at Bayer's Innovation Showcase, welcoming farmers, customers, and visitors from around the world. Inside, guests explored how scientific breakthroughs across health and agriculture have shaped everyday life, while sharing their own experiences with innovation and progress.
What science delivered here: Few places illustrate the impact of agricultural innovation more clearly than Iowa. Generations of research in plant breeding, crop protection, and farm management have helped farmers grow more food while adapting to changing conditions, making the state a powerful example of science at work in communities and fields alike.
Aspen, Colorado
What happened: At the Aspen Ideas Festival, Science Delivers joined conversations about one of the most important questions facing society today: how to strengthen public trust in science. Through on-stage discussions and community engagement, scientists, policymakers, and business leaders explored the role scientific innovation can play in addressing shared challenges and improving lives.
What science delivered here: In Aspen, the conversation was much bigger than a single scientific breakthrough. It was about something equally important: public trust. Bringing together scientists, policymakers, business leaders, and community members, the event highlighted how meaningful dialogue can help people engage with new ideas, ask questions, and better understand the discoveries shaping their lives.
